What a fantastic weekend of music! There is something magical when the weather is 80 degrees, sunny, breezy, coupled with great live music. Is it a bit crazy that I get a little emotional (happy tears) when I see great live music? It is sort of a secret of mine…I guess until now.
MoreThis past week was, for sure, a challenging week for me. Like any of us, we all have good weeks and bad weeks, and some weeks that have a little of both. On good news new side, Music News wrote an article about our two new singles. And, we had a fun show in Maryland on Friday night (a few pictures posted on Facebook).
MoreI typically stay out of the political discussions, but this week, I was listening to some friends talk about ‘Congress’ and then saw an email from Warren Buffet being passed around. The general gist of all of it: until Congress can start getting things done, we should not pay them.
MoreThis past weekend was so full of events, mostly good ones. It began in New York City at this very cool venue called SPiN. We were surrounded by ping pong tables and blue lights. The sound system rocked and I saw a dear friend of mine that I met on tour. Since I was in New York…well, I just had to see a show. So, Once, was the winner..and boy, was it. I, of course, had to buy the CD. Great music, fun story…no wonder it won Best Musical. Finished the NY trip with a midnight meal at Spice Market.

Perhaps it’s the music business…we always have to work 6-12 months ahead of the game. Whether that means writing Christmas songs in the summer, or booking winter gigs in July.
