What a fast trip. Key Club was pretty interesting - driving down Sunset Strip in West Hollywood was a treat. But, I believe I am getting ahead of myself. We started last week's adventure in New York City.
I met up with Brandon Ruckdashel for a quick rehearsal in the afternoon. We went to the club to get set up and I was pleasantly surprised to see Richie Canata! What an incredible sax player. This picture is in the green room and we are all pretty much in the picture with the exception of Brandon - who was taking it!
We had some other surprise guests - including reporters from Music Connection and 411 Mania. Here's a link to their review http://www.sidefxband.net/upload/press/411%20Mania.pdf...we, of course, as a band, were trying to interpret all of the comments.
Matt and I, then jumped on a plane and headed out west (to LA) to perform with John DePatie. We had some meetings and then rehearsed just in time to make it to the Key Club. Big Big club - lots of sound power.....
In Santa Monica, Matt and I, and a couple of LA hipsters hit the town. The next day, Matt flew back, and well, I did something special...but you all will have to wait to find out what that actually was!
Next stop? July 5th at Gavin DeGraw's place http://www.thenationalunderground.com/aboutus.html..that will be a blast!
