Miami was a hoot! Not only was it nice to be in 80-degree breezy weather, but playing at Tobacco Road was fantastic! The sound guy was awesome. The venue was as I remembered it-- with such great character. The crowd was fab and, well, I guess I cannot say anything negative ……except, I am back, and it is 43 degrees outside!
Here are a few pictures from the night. More are coming….
So, while I was gone, we had some great news to come back to. First, Comcast New England will be airing our Miami concert onDemand starting February 1st! And while we are prohibited from placing it all on YouTube, we can put at least one song up on the net for you all to watch. Look for it at the end of next week.
Let’s see, other great news—four of our songs were on several TV shows (Bravo, MTV, and OWN networks). I also just learned that Paradise, Contradictions, Broken Heart, Magic Lands, My Face is Shining, Simple Touch are all new ringtones in Asia. And, 19 of my tracks were licensed for a variety of TV and Film shows. Ok, I can say it…I am so loving 2013 right now.
So while I smile with delight on my good news, I have one question, why does one’s mood change so dramatically when the sun stops shining? The minute the plane landed today and I arrived to rain showers, and immediately felt this drudge on my being. I just had this amazing week with great news and yet…..I feel like the kid after Christmas day. Does this mean that I just can’t stand the rain?
While I try and figure that one out – I need to get my studio back into shape or John DePatie is going to kill me! Have a great week!
